All paper notification dates have been set for March 14th for easier administrative organization
To ensure fairness in the paper submission process, submissions made before the first deadline (31th January) will be prioritized if necessary

Note:
1. If speakers or co-presenters are listed in the conference schedule, whether it's for online or in-person sessions, they must pay the registration fee.
2. For the conference proceedings, the corresponding author can add co-authors who do not present at the conference (July 7-10, 2025) without needing to pay the registration fee.

a. Papers (30 minutes):
Detailed presentations sharing research findings.
Includes time for a brief Q&A.
b. Workshops (60 minutes):
Interactive sessions with hands-on activities.
Designed for skill-building and practical learning.
Includes time for a brief Q&A.
c. Colloquia/Symposia (90 minutes):
Extended sessions with multiple talks on a common theme.
Followed by a discussion period.
Includes time for a brief Q&A.
d. Multimodal Posters (90 minutes):
Visual presentations combining text, images, and other media and present via devices (computer, ipad, etc)
Presenters discuss their work with attendees.
Conference Committee will provide you a table for you to place your device
No physical/printed posters should be used during the presentation
Includes time for a brief Q&A.
Online Presentation
a. Papers (20 minutes):
Pre-recorded presentations explaining research studies.
Available online for participants to watch at their convenience.
Without Q&A.
b. Workshops (40 minutes):
The pre-recorded videos shall be played on the online platform.
Interactive sessions with hands-on activities.
Designed for skill-building and practical learning.

c. Colloquia/Symposia (50 minutes):
Extended sessions with multiple talks on a common theme.

If you have selected to participate or present at the conference online, please note the following:
No conference bag will be provided.
No lunch will be provided.
No accommodation arrangements will be made.
This is to clarify that if you intend to physically participate in the conference, you must not select the "online" participation option. Ensure that you register as an on-site participant instead.
Additionally, if you plan to appear at the conference venue in any physical capacity, please confirm that:
You have not selected any online participation options during registration.
You have paid the appropriate on-site participation fee, rather than the online category fee.

* An interested presenter is allowed to submit 1 paper or workshop abstract for consideration as a lead presenter. However, they can be a co-presenter of another one or more presentations

The abstract clearly communicates the research objectives, main arguments, and key findings in a concise and understandable manner.
Methodology
The research methods used are well-defined, appropriate, and effectively explained to support the study's objectives.
Theory
The abstract outlines the theoretical framework or concepts underpinning the study, demonstrating a strong connection between theory and research.
Contribution
The paper highlights its significance, offering new insights, practical implications, or advancements to existing knowledge in the field.
Cumulative
The research builds on or extends existing studies, contributing to the ongoing academic discourse and enriching the collective understanding of the topic.

Open-ended feedback for the submitter
The topic, issue, or problem is relevant and significant.
The research is original and grounded in theory.
For empirical studies, the research design is of high quality and clearly described, including explicitly stated questions, data sources, data collection methods, and the analytic approach.
For conceptual studies, the conceptual framework is well-developed and clearly articulated. The author must emphasize the importance of the topic, establish meaningful connections to relevant research communities, and present arguments in a compelling manner.
The research aligns with AsiaTEFL's core values of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Based on these criteria, reviewers provide a holistic recommendation to accept, accept if space allows, or reject. They are also encouraged to include open-ended feedback for the submitter.
Final decisions are made by the Conference Program Team, taking into account:
(a) reviewer feedback across the evaluation criteria,
(b) the global recommendation provided by Strand Coordinators, and
(c) the availability of space and balance among strands at the conference.
